  • Rear extension and interior refurbishment of a Victorian house in Acton Central.

‘We wanted to thank you and your team at Studio Ageli for being amazing partners on our project over the last few months. Your commitment, creativity, energy and responsiveness have been remarkable, made all the more impressive as no doubt you are juggling multiple projects. We are absolutely delighted with the end result. Thank you!’

The client, who has lived in the house for over a decade, wanted better access to the garden for them and their two dogs, as well as a bigger and brighter kitchen to accommodate cooking, and dinner parties with an improved flow and connection with the living spaces. This also included a new bathroom on the top floor, and one on the ground floor, as well as a refurbishment of the whole house (inside and out) to unify the look & feel.

One of the couple is a published chef, social media personality and restaurateur, responsible for some of London’s most well-known restaurants and delis – the backdrop for social media images and publication shoots was an important consideration.
Works were complete in 6 months, including electrical rewiring, plumbing and lighting. All joinery is bespoke and structural works entailed opening up the ground floor, installing a Corten steel roof, two effortless roof lights, and a bay window.

The interior scheme retained original features such as skirtings, mouldings, architraves and panelled doors, balanced with a simple palette of materials and colours. The overall impression is of a light, bright and uncomplicated space that echoes throughout the property.
