A series looking at our approach to physical model making and prototyping – 3D print of the project at 1:200.
This 3D print is of the site as a whole, known as the ‘deck’ as it is an elevated Neo-Classical platform, bookended by domed pavilions. Three interchangeable buildings have been made by hand, representing the phases of development of the project.
The model highlights the formal sculptural quality of the heritage fabric, and contrasting it with the more fluid and organic sculptural architecture of the new building, and landscape.
It was produced after planning was approved and we were exploring detail and spatial design for Stage 4 – the project started on site in January 2026 and completed in September 2026.
